What is the best hose nozzle for weak hands? Most have a trigger feature that makes the water flow. However, if you have rheumatoid arthritis this can be very tiring and make your hands ache. Sure, there is that little knob where you can supposedly make the trigger stay down. But what happens if you have to turn the water off quickly. Or what if the screw doesn’t turn that easy?
There are two other types of hose nozzles that work much better for people with arthritis. One option is a thumb control nozzle. You just use your thumb to control how much water you want coming out. The one I chose slides very easily. However, some people with arthritis have trouble moving their thumbs. If this is the case, there is also an option referred to as a fireman style hose sprayer. This style has a larger handle and can be moved with the hand. The handle is much larger on these models so the handle can be adjusted easily.
I needed a new hose sprayer this year and after quite a bit of research, the INNAV8 water hose sprayer is the one I chose. So far, I love it!
It moves easily so you can choose which one of the ten spray patterns you want. The spray patterns are stamped on the outside of the nozzle so you can see where they all are at a glance. It has a thumb control that is easy to move and has a soft rubber grip on it. The best thing is it very lightweight. If you have pain in your thumbs then you may want to consider the Green Mount high pressure hose nozzle below.
At the time of this writing Amazon reviewers have given this sprayer a 4.6 star rating out of 5. Over 6,000 reviews have been written about this product with 76% of them being 5 star ratings!
This Green Mount heavy duty fireman garden hose nozzle has a large handle making it very easy to turn on and off. It is easy to grab and is perfect for people with weak grips or who have arthritis in their hands.
There are six spray patterns ranging from a powerful high pressure stream to a soft shower. Reviewers were quite impressed with the variety of spray patterns and commented on how happy they were with them.
Customers who have arthritis made some great comments about this garden hose nozzle and how well it worked for them. I was impressed with the number of reviewers that raved about the customer service! As with any product, sometimes there are problems. It seemed that almost every time a customer gave a negative review due to a defect, the company reached out to them and rectified the problem.
After reading the reviews this is a product I definitely would consider purchasing.
